I just finished the updated slayer gate at The Holt after several attempts. All I can say is AAARRRRRRGHHHHHHHH!!!

I immediately exited the game to rest my hands. Holy ♥♥♥♥ that was so intense.

I actually loved this gate. I thought it would be complete torture but it's actually a lot of fun.

the gate is terrible if the carcuss didnt spawn over and over with the marauder it would be fun everything else before the marauder is great

Marauder was my favorite part tbh. He's not as intense as the buffed marauder but tanks a lot more hits so you have to disengage and re-engage a lot.

yeah the buff marauder is wayy to fast
but the possessed marauder just feels like it go's on forever it would be fine if it wasn't for the 6.12 million carcuss shields

Yeah, I found the gate to be immensely exciting to complete other than the possessed marauder. He wasn't hard, it was just a process to whittle him down. I laughed pretty good though when they spawned the second marauder while I was killing the spirit. I could feel the devs cheekiness. Overall, fun gate but I felt like the possessed marauder with carcass spam was less interesting. I'd rather have fought 2 regular marauders with carcasses instead.

I found the shields were actually useful. Bursting them when a marauder was around seems to damage him and it clears the fodder. Dunno, they didn't bother me as much as they did in SGN ML.

I thought the possessed Marauder would not Falter with the SSG and Ballista shots. I guess it would be too hard if he didn't.

Saame, the marauder was just tooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. I didn't know how to kill the ghosts until the boss fight either so they just kept transferring!

Still not enough, perhaps if you doubled the tyrants it maybe tougher... just maybe.

Hugo's confirmed the gate will be re-balanced in the DLC2 patch. He admitted the first version was too easy, but this one is too hard so they will find the sweet spot.

TBH all they need to do really is lower the amount of carcass or delay when they respawn, doesn't feel like there's any point in killing them if they constantly respawn when the Marauder is about making sure you can 1v1 him.
