Latest Model Converter
If you want to add your own models to the game, you'll need to use the model converter : Download the latest version (2.36) here[gamesformay.com]

If you made models in the distant past, a couple of things have changed in the engine which will cause a few headaches ; 1) The global rendering scale has changed so that 1 unit is now equal 1m. (Rather than 1:25.248 as was, inexplicably, the case previously). This means that any old models will be very very tiny in game and will need scaling up. (Theres an option in the converter to automatically apply the correct re-scaling factor). 2) Vehicles and other items that have a direction now need to face along the Y-axis by default. (So some old vehicles will appear off by 90 degrees and will need rotating). This change was done for consistency and to simplify integraliion into physics systems.

Always seemed odd that vehicles in the old version had to be sideways to operate in game.
Unfortunately, rotating animated vehicles does not rotate the wheels.

(Lil late in reply, sorry :] )
Aye, wheels needed to be changed to a different axis using 'Sub-models' -> Wheel Mode -> '4-wheels (Y-Forward)'
In the MC v2.36 i've added a 'Tools' -> 'Fix Old TU Vehicle' menu option that does all the neccessary steps (scale, rotate, fix wheels) in one click.
