Good Pizza, Great Pizza

Good Pizza, Great Pizza

Tips to grind?
Hi all, I just got the game yesterday and noticed there is an ongoing summer event that expires in 3 days. I have a completionist mindset and would love to collect everything possible in games...So, was wondering:
1. Are there any tips to grind cash and gems in the game fast? I am worried I won't be able to earn enough to buy those sweet summer cosmetics.
2. Will events come back? In case I cannot finish the event this time around...

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, I think the seasonal events do come back round... Well, probably, I just got the game myself recently.

In terms of grinding, if it's cash grinding, then, just make many pizzas accurately to the customer's order. In-game Achievements and small side-quests that pop up at random are the only way to get diamonds.

Time is money, right, and the quicker accurate pizzas you make, the more money you'll get in one day. Having the automated upgrades really helps. It really does.

Well, here's my personal strategy:

Each new topping is just over $100 or so, right... But the upgrade to place a particular/specific topping automatically, is $500. So, I try to aim to have over $600 (say, somewhere between $615 to $650) before I purchase a new topping and its upgrade.

You can only purchase the topping first, before it's auto-upgrade. So, for example, buy basil first, then, you can only buy its auto-basil upgrade the next game-day. You must have the topping first, only then can you buy its auto-upgrade.

If you buy the topping, without $500 at your disposal the next day, then you're susceptible to just doing things manually for a long time before you get $500 for its auto. But if you already have the $500 minimum, right after buying its topping, then you'll only have to "suffer for a day", cos after that you can purchase its auto, with the $500 you already have.

So, if you're grinding cash just for the decorations, my *advice would be just to get all the autos for whatever toppings you have now, then resist the temptation to buy new toppings, because doing things manually (instead of auto-ing) will really eat into your revenue, and by extension, profits.

I think buying/unlocking newer toppings will also increase the percentage of tips (money), but then you'll have to fork out more money for the toppings upgrade, so it's just finding a balance between the number of toppings you want, or already have, and dishing out pizzas as quickly as possible with auto upgrades.

*[Edit: minor correction: changed "advise" to "advice"]
Edit 2nd time: Upgrading the oven, and once you have good cashflow with all the autos, then boosting the oven speed with that $7 twice a day really helps too.

Thank you so MUCH for these tips! I am still very early in the games and haven't upgrade to any auto yet :( but I will keep your advice in mind going forward!

Oh, another thing...

You said in your OP that you have a "completionist mindset", right?
Well, there's this in-game Achievement, (not Steam, just in the game itself), called "Do it Myself (or maybe 'Yourself')".

To unlock this Achievement, you need to "do things yourself for 10-game days in a row", and this can only happen if you've played an auto, then turn it off.

See, the thing is, if you already have many autos, and are trying to get the in-game Achievement (which also rewards a diamond [or a few, can't remember the exact number]), then, y'know, it can be pretty daunting, from running many things on auto, to all of a sudden drop all of that for 10 days straight just to get the in-game Achievement (and a diamond).

The trick is, to only buy ONE auto first. So, early on, that can be auto-sauce or auto-cheese, or one of the early toppings. Play with that auto for one game-day, then switch it off for the next, then, *gulp*, grind without that one auto for 10 days straight for the in-game Achievement and a diamond (or a few). Just having one auto then switching it off will fulfill the prerequisite for that Achievement. That's how I did it. Again, it's not a Steam Achievement, but it is in the game itself, and has at least one diamond as a reward.

Because as you can imagine, by the time you have many autos (with many toppings), and then decide to switch all of it off for that in-game Achievement (and a diamond or few), it could be quite stressful, especially when more toppings are unlocked, people will ask for all sorts of things.

Ha! Great trick. I imagine I could never go back if upgraded to a lot of autos lol :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:
