FAQ
Q: How long is the game?
A: Depends on how you play and where you get stuck with puzzles. Also some people skip a lot of dialogue and are faster that way. We find it a better overall experience if players actually have time to play the game. ;-)
We've seen around two to three hours most of the time.

Q: Why do I run into bugs - didn't you guys test the game?
A: We actually had dozens of beta testers on the game. Adventure games are quiet complex. There will always be someone who did things in an order nobody else did it before and may see a glitch or a bug nobody else had. There haven't been many reported though and we have fixed them as fast as possible and will continue to do so. Please refer to the post "Reporting bugs" to send us reports.

Q: I am stuck in the game! Can you help me?
A: No, we can't we don't have the resources to walk you through the game. It is part of adventure gaming to be stuck every now and then. Examine again, talk to people and find out what the logic behind the puzzles is. Other than that refer you to the forum posts and to internet resources.

Q: I found a puzzle that makes no sense and is illogical. Why?
A: You may find it illogical but all puzzles are logical and there is no puzzle that requires trial and error to be solved. We know that sometimes it can be hard to remember all hints one may have gotten from conversations. Also it is not possible to communicate puzzle logic in a way that there never is a misunderstanding.

Q: Can I play the game with a gamepad/controller?
A: As of now there is no controller support.

Q: Can I play the game with a touch screen?
A: It is possible to play with a touch screen. But we have not fully tested and optimized it for touch screens. There may be occasions where hotspots are too small and stuff like that.

Q: Can I play the game with a two screen setup?
A: This works on Windows and macOS. We know about issues with Linux. We're trying to find a solution to this. There may be a problem with the engine we're using that we can't solve.

Q: I am playing in Linux and the mouse lags terribly. Is there a fix?
A: Open the file "acsetup.cfg" located in "~/.local/share/ags/Nelly Cootalot Spoonbeaks Ahoy/acsetup.cfg" (not the one in the game's install folder) with a simple text editor.
Under [mouse] add the line "control=never" without the quotes so it looks like this:
[mouse]
control=never
This should eliminate the mouse lag.
It causes AGS to use the system input directly to control the mouse position instead of passing it through a library.

"control=never"

Does not fix the mouse lag on Linux for me. You might also want to use the right game name in the path ;)

Wrong game, eh?

The beauty of cut/copy/paste. Same game engine, same issues. Lamplight City is also built with AGS. Fixed it now.
I guessed as much.

"control=never"

Doesn't fix the mouse lag for me aswell.

I'm on Ubuntu Mate 19.04 with Mesa 19.0.2. AMD Ryzen 7 1700 + 16GB RAM + AMD RX 580 8GB.

For people who are experiencing the Linux mouse lag:
We created a new custom build that should help with the issue. It doesn't make the movement completely smooth, but it makes it a lot less jumpy and much more controllable.

To switch to the custom build you can follow these steps:
1. Go to your steam library
2. Right click the game and select properties
3. Go to the tab called “betas”
4. Select “Linux_mouse_fix” from the drop-down list
5. Steam should download a small update and the mouse should work much better.

The reason we didn't replace the default linux build is, that this would make the mouse movement of people who don't experience the bug less smooth, but we will keep this build up to date and fully save compatible with the default one.
