I know there is a disclaimer stating that this game will not run on Windows 7. However, Railroad Tycoon 2 does. Has anyone found a workaround for it yet? I find it hard to believe it will only run on XP.

It works for me, but i don't remember how i do that :) BTW i have to use No-CD Crack to disable the T&L function

Don't know whether it helps but http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/rrt3/rrt3.htm has a engine.cfg file you can replace your own with under the waving and pointing graphic for a vista fix. This also works with my windows 7.

That worked, there was another fix I located but a No-CD crack was required to fix it. Thank you both for your help! :)

I installed the above mentioned fix and it works just fine. The best game I've played in a while.

I have no problems running it on windows vista or windows 7. I did right click the game icon and chose compatibility with windows xp.

I cant get past the intro. IF i try to run it in compatibility mode I get an error message that says " Failed to find Steam" with only ok option. when i press ok the web browser launches and it goes to the steam website witch does nt recognize that I have steam installed =/

read what i posted about the fix in another thread. install 1.5 and then 1.6. that was the same problem for me.

also restart your pc. simple thing like that can fix problems.
