You can use the grenades, and the bombs. The bombs are totally OP it is a one shot kill even in the last level. Like 19 damage in a giant zone.
I did the whole game and i am super disapointed. It is Mutant year Zero without the scenario and only 6 repetitive maps and objectives.:/
So, even with the mini gun or a grenade, how in the heck do we get seven enemies to bunch up together to take them out with one shot? No way. I have never seen them bunch up like that, especially in the Shady Oaks mission.
And, complete the mission using one bullet? Again . . . how?!?
I am starting to agree with you. This game is very bare bones. No story wrapped around the combat. It's completely unfinished. I have lost quite a bit of respect for these developers, who I thought were amazing when they came out with Mutant Year Zero. This game needs a LOT more content.
+1. I would also want to know how is it.
Edit : After reading a few reviews and watching some gameplays it turns out that it's just a "simplified" and stripped Mutant Year Zero.
"Continuing with our Corruption 2029 review, it seems my worst fears have been confirmed. There really is no hub to speak of. No additional characters that let you buy additional gear or upgrades. Everything you can equip, be it weapons or skills, simply comes from completed missions. It’s a very streamlined and barebones approach to a turn-based tactical RPG. Come to think of it, it’s probably best to remove the “RPG” part.
Gone is the feature to select or improve certain skills as was the case in Mutant Year Zero. There’s no restriction on which weapons or abilities to equip. As such, there’s very little distinction among your characters or even with your loadouts.
The game has two pistols (one silenced), two snipers (one silenced), a shotgun, an assault rifle, and a Gatling gun with a 2-turn cooldown. Given that silenced weapons remain slightly weak all throughout, you’ll find yourself eventually discovered by rebel soldiers or robots. Then, it’s time to hunker down and go into “overwatch” as you wait for enemies to come closer (or use the occasional skill). Rinse and repeat until the game’s finished." - Source : https://www.pcinvasion.com/corruption-2029-review-newtant-year-zero/
Bummer, cause one would think, that they will actually step-up and improve compared to Mutant : Year Zero. It would be quite logical to add more replayability and new stuff to loot etc., i don't mind that it's basically reskinned Mutant. But if its story is lacking, there are still too few weapons and other stuff to loot and its RPG aspect is even more simplified then i don't think i will pick it up.
