The only time I lost contents was when I put a nearly full container in the Big crusher....so only empty containers get stored there now
I access that container by clicking on INVENTORY .... then on right side at the top Click on Resources Inventory.... you get a drop down menu with "Printer Container, then Resources Container and right at the bottom is just Container... thats where all my stuff is stored.
Just check that you may have the container there.
I've found the container empty it is full and I swap it in to the crusher. All the contents disappear and I've verified quantities of what was there before and after. I can move stuff in and out of the container while in the crusher and usually the contents remain when pulling the container out of the crusher, just not when putting it in.
If I need to build anything I either print it out on the Big Crusher or just collect the materials that I need for the construction.
I drag a container around with me when travel. First time I did, had it full and dropped it in the crusher.....whoops. Oh well. Lost it all and had to restore a save. But, I've adapted since.
And the two containers still had a shared inventory - when you put something in one of them it appears in the other after reloading.
Something happened in the crusher - and I suspect that it just cloned the containers, with same ID.
I created the first one. Then used the crusher to replace it with the cargo module. Then parked the container on the ground and returned to the crusher to get the other module.
In the interface the rover appeared still with the container attached. I tried to move it to the crusher, and each time the result was new container in the crusher inventory.
Then, after reloading I finished with rover without container, three containers in the crusher inventory and no bulk cargo module.
Perhaps, at this moment the container was cloned.
Put something in c1 - and I have it available on the both bases.
