I've just recently played a game developed in China.
That company had essentially no customer support, I had a dispute via Paypal and it was decided against me, so I deleted Paypal and left that made in China game.
Where users dealing with companies in the US have few rights, users dealing with companies in China have none and no way to press charges.
And considering the trade war and the overall spyware found in Chinese products, not approving any of the 5 eyes and NSA spying, I'd be careful with "free to play" games made in China.
As a result, for me personally, even if it looks interesting, there is no way this game will make it onto my hardware.

If you use Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, Snapchat, etc...
Or live in the US...
Companies/government already have all your personal info.

If you don't for any of those, then this game may be a problem to your privacy.

You do realize that ALL anti-cheat software is essentially spyware, right? If you've EVER played ANY online game, you've installed anti-cheat software and agreed to let them monitor your computer while you play.

This game doesn't have more than any of the other games out there. People freak out because this game updates so often and antivirus software doesn't have enough time to verify that it isn't malicious.

Don´t forget to mention that people think it has to be a virus or spyware because the developers are from China :steamfacepalm:

Most anti-cheat software only calls home when it discovers something alarming, and when it does it only sends what's loaded in memory; They don't scan your harddrive and they don't collect identifiable information. Most anti-cheat software also don't share the collected information to third-parties and deletes their collected information if nothing incriminating was found.

Nothing about what you said makes my statement untrue. Why did you quote me, again?

Have you heard the saying, two wrongs don't make a right? i.e. just because everyone else is doing it, doesn't mean it's ok

Yep, McCarthyism 2.0 has bitten and taken hold, the exceptional ones are losing their grip on their global hegemony and throwing their toys out of the pram.

Everything that monitors your system isn't spyware. While most (free) anti-virus softwares might be, there are some that only collects no more information than what is "necessary" for the programs function. I've always defined spyware as a program that phones home more information than needed, which this implementation does, and the statement that they might share this information with third-parties is always a huge red flag. Yes, they say that they will delete the stored information after 90 days, but that's more than enough time to off-load the information to someone else.
