End Space does not support VR. It will appear on your desktop and may affect VR preformance.
Then the game goes to launch just fine in VR.
Hmm strange, I must have done something wrong in the Steam settings. I'll have to check it out.
Until I read somewhere thet is somehow solved (setting in ini file, but I could not locate it) I unfortunately had to request a refund. End Space looks fine though and since now on sale ... it looks more than worth it.
Kind regards.
Thank you.
I had a problem when Eve Valkyrie : Warzone was getting the non-VR treatment as well and on my rig it did not run at all (at first). Somehow it got fixed by the Devs and now it still is one of my favourite games. I do not mind at all to re-buy End Space if you think you will get it fixed.
Maybe I am doing something wrong and/or my monitor seems to be stuck at 59 Hz instead of 60 for this game. If I go beyond the UHD @ 59 Hz setting for my AOC U3277PWQU monitor it gets reset to the highest VR type resolution (something like 2160x2000/almost square res instead of 16:9 UHD resolution). UHD is no problem in other games though with my Nvidia Pascal 1xxxx GPU.
I can t find a settings file to set the resolution though, only boot.config that was set like this ...
gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=
wait-for-native-debugger=0
scripting-runtime-version=latest
vr-enabled=1
vr-device-list=None,Oculus,OpenVR
hdr-display-enabled=0
I tried with vr-enabled=0 too, but that didn't solve the issue.
I hope it is just my rig ... I guess so because otherwise you would get some more people reporting this.
Thank You answering and Good Luck !
Kind Regards,
Stefaan
I loved playing this game last year. Came back to give it another spin, but I can't get it to work in VR now, which is a shame. Desktop mode just isn't the same at all. :(
If anyone can shed some information on how other games have managed this, I would be very grateful!
This is assuming you launch those batch files on the back end when you choose the various options through Steam so I could be way off. Either way, I'm enjoying the game a lot, thanks for working on it!
If you are using any type of Oculus headset, it is best to launch the game from the Steam library and select Launch with OculusSDK option. Don't launch End Space from within SteamVR if using a Oculus headset.
