The award was well-deserved. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could have been a contender if its story weren't so fragmented and mainly served as a reason to travel from one planet to another.

Yep. Just finished the game today and it is definitely a well deserved award for this outstanding game.

@Sheogorath Sorry but Jedi Fallen Order had a mostly horrible main cast and weak story compared to APTI. The only character in JFO that was somewhat interesting was the Nightsister Merrin but I found Cal, Cere and Greez shallow, childish and nigh unbearable.
As far as writing, characterization and (voice) acting is concerned, Amicia, Hugo & company are in a completely different league in my opinion.

I guess in terms of pc games this year sure, didn't really have steep competition outside of yakuza kiwami 2. The plot does fall on the wayside towards the end though. Actually looking at the list I think disco elysium should have won but I guess many haven't played it yet.
