Restore console commands/cheats part 2
So why have console commands been removed in favor of a microtransaction store? I enjoyed messing around with the console commands in my singleplayer game. This is just fishing for trouble.

What if something like your horse bugs out on you and you would just want to spawn another with console commands but... oh wait. Since they disabled console command "Cheats"... you can't do something like that anymore. Or maybe a quest item didn't spawn correctly and is unobtainable? I'll just spawn it with conso- wait that doesn't work anymore. I have been playing the Two Worlds series since day 1 of the original game.

Please. Restore the console commands.

EDIT: After speaking 1 on 1 with Raidor, i can confirm that the console commands are indeed coming back. Thank you so much.

EDIT 2: As of 6/17/2017, the console commands are back in.

EDIT 3: As of 6/19/2017, the command to enable cheats has changed to Cotcheats

Thanks for the warning, I was going to buy this at the weekend and you saved me some money.

Ooooo micro transaction is so scary ooooooooo it might break my experience especially if it is non intrusive
I really hope this is not the case but they could have balanced the new DLC around having to buy materials microtransactions or grind for annoying length of time.

It's pretty intrusive if something like your horse bugs out on you and you would just want to spawn another with console commands but... oh wait. See what i mean?

Console commands were removed due to the introduction of these microtransactions, that's hardly "non-intrusive", especially for a singleplayer game. Next time, think before you make an as‍s of yourself.

Especially starting out with non-witty sarcastic banter when I have an open mind to other views and intelligent counter points, but this only reinforces the OP's view.

Yeah , well , why play all you want after you paid once when buying the game if they can make you keep paying ? , right ?
Also this only reinforces real-world social in-equality :blech:

So - That's probably the reason TwoWorlds Merge does not work, and probably will not work ever again.

I really was not expecting this, and I am unpleasantly suprised by this move. I can "somewhat" understand microtransactions in an on-line game (but I still am a fierce opponent on it), but for a single-player game? NO - Just NO.

And if this microtransactions interfere with the (sometimes badly needed) modability of an single player game on top of that, it's a DOUBLE NO!

The developers just lost a LOT of respect from me. And that say's a lot, because I am not someone that lighly gets upset about creepy moves from developers. This move, however, does really strikes me the wrong way.

You can roll back to the previous version of the game with steam console commands. In fact you could probably roll back, give yourself a ton of materials with the old console commands and then update back to the new version.

Or just buy the game on GOG and back it up on your hard disk, so you can keep an "untainted" version forever.

But I guess you have to be fast (unless you already have the game on GOG), because chances are substantial you will get the "poison-update" on GOG also.

Are saves made with gog version compatible with steam version ?

Adding microtransactions to a primarily singleplayer game that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6 years old is the stupidest thing I've ever encountered in my 23 years of gaming.

These devs should be ashamed.

This actually caused me to give my first negative steam review, ever. Not that I do write reviews often, but there we go.
Odin Jun 16, 2017 @ 8:19am
ow go write ur review nobody cares lmao, if u have no clue how easy this items can be obtained (less than 10 mins of farming) than u should be dumb enough to spend money on buying them.
