I've gotten this as well, my CPU usage spikes up to 100% out of nowhere and for a good 30 seconds to a minute the game hangs and then it's fine again.

yeah same

Try setting CPU priority to High in task manager. This mostly fixed the issue for me and several other users so far.

If you're running multiple GPU's: "SLI or CrossFire MultiGPU setups in DX12. For best stability, please ensure you are running the latest Steam Beta client. This client has fixes that resolve stability issues with the Steam overlay and MultiGPU setups." Solved my stutter!

Not having these problems :( im feeling for you guys
Apparently the NEW upto date Nvidia drivers are causing issues... maybe it could be worth trying some older ones.

Curreny I am running v391.35 with ma res @ 5760x1080 and no dramas, perfectly stable 60FPS with VSYNC set to on

getting stuttering and micro freezing :(

As Bling said, setting it to high priority seems to smooth out all the issues. At least that's how it's been since I tried that fix.

Edit: Possibly disabling exclusive full-screen and using just full-screen might help.

Yeah I'm getting this too without consistent reason. I slammed LOD to minimum and I honestly don't know what other settings are CPU intensive besides what it specifically notes. I get the spikes sometimes a few times in a minute, sometimes like 15 minutes, I didn't get the first one for a long while. I don't get them during cutscenes and never during any benchmarks.

Setting it to exclusive fullscroon DID seem to make it worse.

I haven't tried futzing with CPU priority but with how people were using BES on Yakuza 0 to make sure it wouldn't hit 100% usage, that might be a temporary workaround?

My CPU is definitely above minimum but it's not a powerhouse but I imagine this is something they'll iron out since I'm on DX11/Win 7 and apparently DX12 is very smooth which, likely, is a bigger part of their market.

yeah game was running fine for me for about 20-30 mins then started getting microfreezes. I think its a bug because the frames were fine. doesn't happened to often but it also happened in one of the cutscenes

Do you have your game installeed on SSD ? Do you have more than 8GB system RAM ?
Is your GPU cappable of the settings you are trying to run with the VRAM it has on it ?
What are you in game temps could it be thermal throtle ?

All this information is needed to help you troubleshoot and possibly fix

I have the stuttering problem as well. Very likely an early bug.

I restarted my system and set CPU priority to High for SOTTR.exe in Task Manager. Seems like that's helping for now. Might be a short-term fix until the game is patched in the next couple of days.

I maxed out the game's graphics settings on Ultra, which should be fine with my setup. At least, the FPS is very smooth, then suddenly stuttering.

i guess waiting till the game is officially released would most likely be the best shot at waiting for the games performance to improve
