If I don't solve this soon guys I am quitting the blasted game. You tether the two pillars together. Check. You take the lever on the bigger pillar and turn it 180 degrees. I turn it 180 degrees and it either keeps going or pushes me back. Also I cannot let go of the damn thing! I understand that you do this then cut the rope and turn the big pillar back 90 degrees. But I can't let go! Is this some kind of bug or am I doing it wrong somehow. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Your not stupid. You got frustrated and forgot your "movement" keys.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem (cannot turn the wheels as I want, they even push me back), but I didn't get the point how this can be solved. I tried with all movement keys (WASD), with or without shift key, and I don't get it correct.

Can anybody help me?

load a previous checkpoint so that you're not in the same room as the pillars

Since this is "human error" more than game error why should the devs fix it?
Try lowering your resolution to the lowest and then try to move the pillars.
I believe this will help and is already posted in this forum.

Yeah Sam is right, this is human error, not game. When using KB you may have to use 2 keys to turn the wheel. Depending on the camera angle and your PoV. If you can't push, try pulling instead. Also look to the outside of the wheel, there are markers to show where to stop.

You've encountered this same problem before. When climbing. If you understood all what I said everything become's much easier.
