Check it out, and if you're still cool with playing then we can start :)
If you are keen on playing, hit me up :)
The install process for MUD shouldn’t overwrite any existing files, unless you’ve downloaded it before. If you are getting a prompt to overwrite something, and you are sure you don't have it in your udb folder already, do this:
1. Inside the zip, click into the udb folder. You should see a file and a subdirectory called 5515Modern_Units.
2. Copy that file and the accompanying assets folder into your /EmpireDeluxe/udb/ folder. The ID+Name should be unique to MUD and shouldn't overwrite anything.
3. When you load up the game, it may take longer than usual. At the bottom you should see it is loading in all the additional assets from the MUD set.
I have the Empire Deluxe Combined edition located under steam\steamapps\common.
Inside that folder is a folder called EmpireCombined-Data. I dont see a folder inside that called UDB. Help would be nice.
If you are on Windows OS and you didn't modify your settings, it is in your AppData folder, not the game files. You can usually find it by opening File Explorer and typing in the following:
%APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\KBSW\EmpireDeluxe\
(This line will go one folder up from your user's main app data folder, then go into locallow data, Killer Bee's folder, then the Empire Game folder.)
Since you know the location of the EmpireCombined_Data folder, look for a file called output_log.txt. In there you should see a line "Non platform assembly:" with a file path. You can also find your app data folder that way.
I looked at the unit set and it is extensive. I'd almost say beyond comprehension.
Are there other game scenarios out there to play. Where would I download these playsets?
Thanks again.
