Phasmophobia game crashes after new update on launch with Unity launch error.

After the literal newest update my game refuses to start. It gives a Unity launch UI I haven't seen before and it fails and crashes. I verified my files and all of them are in tacked. Anyone else have this issue? Also I have no mods or any changes to the OG files.

I just tried to launch and the game crashes right at load up. Trying a re-install to see if it works.

Update - Still does not load after re-installing.

My two friends and i are having the same issue, no mods nor "Hacks". Just bad coding on what seems like a rushed patch. So much for out stream tonight!

For real man, they think its the communities fault. But my game was working before their last two updates. Man it says something about the coding if they need to patch the game literally every day or any other day. Sorry about your stream night btw.

i am also having the same issue, unity crash on start up. No mods or hacks installed on my end and this happened once I updated the game recently

We did a reinstall and its been relatively stable, But now having other issues, mainly bone spawns.

devs got a reason to be upset, and its actually i think my fault (judging by timestamps in here, their discord and my reported me having this issue for startup), while i wasn't using it in phasma i do have wemod which showed up in the log files when i reported my game having this issue (and no idk how that happened am assuming its cause of how wemod works in general not asking either its already off my computer).

And yes i know im probably going to be banned either for making this comment or for that log file (probably the latter more than the former or both since im basically pointing a sign at me saying it was me which i rather do than let others take the heat or cause unnecessary drama between other gamers and the devs). And no i didn't use it for the game but i can't prove i didn't so not even gonna plead to not suffer consequences.

No i will not be responding further to this thread nor in any other phasma's discussion at least for tonight. I feel horrible for anything i might have caused already in these discussions on this issue, cause i screwed up. (yes again i checked the times of the comments they're all about around the same time as them asking why i have wemod at all hence why i feel i caused the anger).
So i am sorry for any anger i caused in general

for those looking for answers to the actual problem at hand:
if you have any mods at all, or cheat engines, or 'hacks' etc that can interface with this game (doesn't matter if you use them or not nor if they're allowed by the devs or not) ditch them off your computer, repair the game and try again, if you don't have anything like that at all, go to their discord message their help bot and be prepared to forward it your games log file.
