kinetic games: :)
How dare people consider a game something to play for fun, right?
GGs and God bless, Merry Christmas and Christ is King!
Like, don't get me wrong, your viewpoint is entirely valid and I don't begrudge you that you don't enjoy community events as much. However, it seems like people more often primarily post just to say they hate X update or Y change, and the devs clearly don't care, with little thought into how the development process actually works (and this is hardly exclusive to this title). As someone posted before, development takes time and undoubtably this update was in the works well before the Blood Moon event was even started, let alone before feedback on it was available. Also, what if the devs themselves DO like community events? Or what if they're hoping to promote more community cohesion? Arguably successfully, considering how many people came together to say they did not like the community events!
I can't speak for them, of course, but it really does not seem to be given much consideration that we're quite fortunate they're still working on the game considering how many other Phasmo-like games have been abandoned after only a year or two. Just wanted to chip in my two cents to hopefully provide some food for thought. It's fine to offer valid complaints, absolutely, but please try to consider all angles of the situation and be wary not to come across as petulant. I'm sure they're giving their best efforts and are noting feedback. It might just be too late for it to have been able to take effect. In the meantime, try to make the best of the situation and have fun, or bounce to a different title if you're already tired of the update. I can make a handful of recommendations in the genre! Or just in general, really. XD
I rest my case... Think for a moment, who would want to bother making something for people who behave like that for gratitude? These updates are free, you know...
I'm kinda tired of the argument, we should be grateful, that they still care to make events. I mean, they always made events, without them contributing anything towards the game anymore, Phasmo would be dead already.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they still work on the game, too, but this event is kinda the same as bloodmoon was. Not only being a community event again, but being structured exactly the same AGAIN. It's just a lackluster repetition with a nice design. I don't have played every event there was, but do you remember the snowman event last winter? It was a fun new idea.
Now we still get to feel the devs worked on console version this year and gave us PC gamers two boring events in a row, because they had no time to work out something cool.
And as much as I can see, the solo elements are simply gathering event points, so no yay for that...
I also thought that they are trying to get away with community events as THE Special Events in the future, because stuff like this if you once have it, is much easier to program then every year a new "christmas/Halloween event"
Yeah hopefully we get a nice eastern event which is not a community event.
I was looking forward to hunting down snowmen like I had seen from the previous event, but this is SO lackluster. if they'd make THAT a community event - or better yet, do BOTH a community side and an extra thing to complete yourself for extra perks - that'd be a whole lot cooler. I want the sense of accomplishment for hunting down all the items to throw into the witch's cauldron. I'm not getting that, I feel like I'm getting a trophy for doing nothing - despite already having contributed a lot of points. I'm not doing anything I wasn't already doing. this is barely an event.
