people on this game are extremely toxic
the kicking for not playing a certain way or getting not simping for whichever women are in the lobby is weird and toxic

You say "this game" as if the problem is only with Phasmophobia. Toxic players are part of all online games, especially when you get matched up with randoms. You either learn to deal with it, or stop playing with random players.

This is the most game i have had trouble with people here, people in there late 20s acting like complete and udder children by being toxic beyond all hell. So why have matchmaking if people are just going to be that way toward eachother? Even this discord is toxic as hell.

Full of trolls online. Been playing multiplayer since 2020. Met a lot of good people but also a lot of trolls.

The thing the real ''trolls'' in phasmo don't really troll in the normal sense, (you know, like totally throwing the game), but more like stealthily trying to get y'all killed for their own fun.

Or, one of my favourites ~ They play normally for a bit but once they decide they're logging off they use a cursed object/trigger a hunt and log out immediately.

Multiplayer has been weird since ascension patch. Do people really got nothing else to do with their life rather than ruin other people's experience? Can't imagine.

Given your language it's not hard to understand, why so many people seem to be hostile against you. The amount of generalizations and insults from you towards other people definitely surpasses the point of what i would consider toxic and the sad thing is, that you're probably not even realizing it, given that you think that using a "i'm no X, but..."-argument is a good idea.

After spending hundreds of hours in public lobbies, I can also confirm most of these points, although I already became desensitized. As for female players being toxic, I mean yeah, I met some pretty toxic female players I admit, but it's an overstatement to say they are more toxic than males. What is true however, when you are in a lobby with 3 of them, they have a higher chance to be toxic towards the single male player.

But ultimately, it's not like you have to stay with them, just leave the lobby and find a new one. It's not Counter Strike, you won't get penalized if you leave the game.

I could use this in thousands of multiplayer games, if not tens of thousands in games to describe the exact same thing.

Age has never been a tell of someone's maturity level. And this day and age sure has confirmed that.

Most people are actually pretty laid back in my experience, but ....

There's a lot of passive aggressive guys that own a permanent residence in the friend-zone that play this game, Keep acting hard in Phasmo lobbies boys, she'll love that.

These are the types of guys that watch Andrew Tate videos while wearing a My Little Pony shirt.

You may think that but as a girl i find that when i join lobbies with male party leaders, they kick me after they hear my voice.

I'm just trying to make friends, no arguments, nothing. People are just hostile on this game for no reason

Toxic? There is nothing toxic about his language at all. He described his experience, thats it. Your bar for toxic language is set WAY too low.

Always remember: If it's only a few toxic persons you're seeing every now and then, then chances are high, that they're the toxic persons. If you constantly see them though, then chances are high, that you're the one introducing toxicity.

And i'm pretty chill about these things. I just mute people, never get aggressive myself and most certainly, i never come into a forum to complain about, how all late 20s and females people hurt my feelings or experience.

User-hosted lobbies are a blessing and a curse. I can't really think of a blessing, but I know that anytime unchecked power to kick/ban others is given to the individual, you're gonna see a lot of abuse from people who see it as an opportunity to indulge their tiny.. power fantasies.

I'd just be happy if those nimrods could figure out that they can play private lobbies with their friends instead of kicking people who join the lobby. Be great if the devs would add a cool down to the kick button.

Having to wait 30 seconds after someone joins might just motivate them to use the proper lobby. Because during that time their friend cant join. And as soon as they kick someone another person is able to get in. Which turns the whole thing into a five to ten minute ordeal of them cycling people out, telling their friend there is space, waiting to see who gets in first and repeating.

I'm with you. I think there are some fairly low-hanging deterrents like the ones you mentioned that the devs could implement that wouldn't necessarily hold up their development pipeline, but for whatever reason it is not a priority.
