No players online?

Hi, i wanted to play a bit with a friend online but something strange happened: i see no players online, no lobbies or anything. Strangest thing is i can't even enter my friends private lobby neither he in mine.
Soooo... what happened?
I never modded the game, neither was i banned, so i don't know what to do. Any ideas? Fixes? Anything?

Do you have cross-play turned off? Cross-play enabled and cross-play disabled are two separate matchmaking instances, and the latter is basically a wasteland since cross-play is on by default.

I would check to see what server you are connected to as well. Make sure its set to the same country server that your friend is on.
I had this happen yesterday and we were scratching our heads wondering what happened til we figured it out. Might not be whats happening for you but something to rule out too
