Meteor Strike's solution, is this intended? (full solution spoilers)

Why does the LOVE word exist in this level? A Love object cannot be turned into anything else, so it's a dead end. I guess you could use it to push around letters indirectly but it is in no way needed.

I thought I was being clever by forming Belt is GHOSTAR is Fall, but you lose the ability to turn the star into anything so you can at best melt it via Baba is HOT, making a Love which can't be turned into the flag.
The solution I came up with was to turn the star into a flag immediately and then use the extra conveyor belt to push a T which pushed another letter which pushed FLAG into the belt to form Flag is Fall at the same time I formed Belt is GHOST.

I solved this puzzle using BELT IS GHOSTAR IS FALL, for how to make Love to Flag: You can spell HAS with these letters.
I failed to recreate your solution but I think yours is not intended. There are quite a few unintended solutions found on this level.

That thread is old. A patch came out today that changed both Stardrop and Meteor Strike.

To prevent this, there's room for FLAG is FALL over by the ME.

I see the configuration of the walls has been changed, but the same unintended solution is still possible. Line up FLAG T IS FALL at the right, spell BELT IS G H O S below that with a blank space below the T, put two more tiles to the left of FLAG so that gets pushed right when T is pushed down.

l33tminion explains it perfectly, but I made a video of the solution, as I found it too. It's also possible to do the same above the belts.
