edit: it looks like youve already played the game before, so idk what it could be man... but maybe my post will still help others
From my quick searches the other day, it's the VS 2019 redistributable. But the ones I have installed are 2015-2019, which are updated and should be the same as 2019?
Maybe the game doesn't trigger the installation of the new ones, but if they've been installed by another game, then the issue won't occur (since some people seem to have the issue problem and others don't)
edit: tried reinstalling the latest version (2015-1022) and then uninstalled/reinstalled and it still doesn't boot (same error message)
I just installed it for the first time and it doesn't work. It is also Windows 7. How does one get legacy version?
Go to the properties tab, should have a menu "Betas". Just choose the Legacy version
ps: The properties are in this icon in the picture: https://imgur.com/a/oNvn2yZ
However this guy is on point, it is playable just by playing from the folder. Kinda jank right now. @Ansdor, we need a fix, mate.
It solves, but it's not desirable. Until there's a fix from Ansdor, I'll do this to play the game :/
Thanks that worked.
