Square textures on the ground
After finishing the game, I can tell its great! But there is one thing that was distracting in first 1/3 of the game (later I didnt notice this happening). When I was in some locations, ground was squared. Normal textures were blending in with some.. black/other. Hard so say, I'm including pictures as well so anybody can take a look what and why is this happening, hopefully solve it.

Well, I have already finished the game and moved on. Just thought about posting it here, maybe developer will see it and solve it, or what you did - post possible solution for others.

Nope. Now that you read my fix you have to replay the game whether you like it or not.
Rest assured that your fix has saved someone else the sight of those big squares on the floor right from the start. Thank you!

I tried this and it caused all the "discovered areas" in white lines on the map to disappear, leaving just the yellow circles and writing.
Same issue here
Facing the same problem. Tweaked the settings: issue appearance highly depends on frame rate, at fixed fps on 60 or less it disappears. Slightly less affected by resolution, full hd has significantly less of those checkers than 4k

When I saw it first time I though it's part of visual art-style, only later I started to suspect it's a bug actually.

Managed to get rid of those checkers by running the game via Special K, using View distance: Low and DLSS: Balanced settings. I've been playing it whole evening and have not seen any issues. (120 fps, 3440x1440, 10GB VRAM)

I suspect this bug caused by VRAM usage, so Special K can show current usage and warn you when it comes close to 100%, and if this is happening it's time to adjust settings to make sure VRAM usage stays below 90%.

Hey there!

To force the game to start on dx11 do the following:
1. Open Steam
2. Right-click on The Invincible
3. Go to Properties...
4. In the general tab write -dx11 in the launch options line

I hope this helps!
