Once you right click that, select 'Recording devices.' At that menu, right click the microphone that has a green check beside it, then click 'Properties'. From there, click the 'levels' tab, then proceed to adjust the output of your microphone.
Hopefully the guy above me has already fixed your problem, but if not, just give what I said a try.

And if it's not solved, use grounded outlet or touch the computer with your empty leg to use it as a ground to eliminate distorsions.
