CS:GO in game mic issue (mic works in lobby)
Hey

I have a USB logitech headset mic or some bs. It works in lobby but it does not work in game. When I use push to talk the mic icon is solid and stoic, like it doesnt even try. I have tried all mic settings. Mic works in other steam games and in go lobby. I have played around in control panel to no avail. w7 x64

After searching I don't think I'm the only one with this issue. There were no replies in the other threads. Any tips? DEVS please listen!!

its in your recording devices for windows, set your default communications and default devices, my friend had the same issue, play around with your current default comm and default devices in the recording devices manager (right click volume control > recording devices)

bump have all my devices enabled correctly in Windows and the mic works just fine with all other games. I have just reinstalled windows 7 to see if that was the problem so that cant be the issue. Have also used console commands in game to disable and re-enable voice in game.

Its only been an issue the past week exactly the same setup worked fine before.

Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?
Any luck? I'm experiencing the same exact issue. I tried restoring my pc to an earlier date to no avail. Win7, X64, using Logitech usb mic.

Got the same problem. I am using push to talk now. Make sure you have set voice_loopback 0 otherwise you are going to hear your voice twice. Open Mic doesnt work in any way.

voice_enable 0
voice_enable 1
This resets the sound system, worked for me :)

This didnt work neither. But since the phoenix patch (and I installed win8.1) I have no issues anymore...

I am still not able to use "open mic" ingame. It works in the lobby though.
But since I updated to Windows 8.1 atleast the "press key for mic" feature ingame does work and I am not hearing my voice twice (which was the problem I had before, when I had win8).
Whats your operating system itscrizzy?

im running windows 8. not 8.1. had some problems with 8.1 previously so i reverted. microphone works in the pre-game lobby, but not in game. the push-to-talk button works, shows my name in the bottom left hand corner, but my voice doesn't transmit to the game. very frustrating especially in competitive
