"Accept" Button does not appear
Hi,

So I just bought this game on Monday. I haven't been able to play competitively so far. As the game is awaiting for me to confirm the match, I get a message after a few seconds stating I did not confirm the match. The issue is that the "accept" button does not even show. Every time I try to play with friends it doesn't work. It won't even show when I try it by myself. Any ideas?

So many people saying the game is making problems like this one..how am I never getting any of these problems? Why is the game always running perfectly for me?
(Except 1 single crash in my playtime)

I must be doing something wrong.

Thank you! This worked for me. I randomly started having this problem with no clear source or provocation. I tried lowering my game ping to 250, as suggested by most threads with no success. What worked for me was the console part of this solution.

Thank you!

[FIX] Matchmaking bug - Failed to join message, no Accept button generating
Hey guys, I ran into the problem above for a few weeks before i decided to deal with it. Here is how i fixed it:

1. In STEAM, goto 'Steam'-'Settings'-'In-Game'.... Once here, at the bottom, change the drop down to '500' under the "In-Game server browser: Max pings / minute. (Usually, it is set at 5000 as default)

2. Open up cs:go. Press "~" to drop down console on the main screen of Cs:go. (If you do not have console enabled you can go into counter-strike in-game settings menu and check the box for it.)
Anyways, Type in "mm_dedicated_search_maxping 175". close console.

3. While still at the main menu of CS:GO, goto 'Options' - 'Game Settings'. Make sure that
"Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping" is set to 175.

4. Once this is all done, close the STEAM program completely. Then re-open it and try MM.

IF you still are getting the matchmaking error, dont worry. There is still two other quick things you can do:

1. In windows 7 - goto START-Control Panel-System and Security-Windows Firewall. From here on the left side, look for "Turn Windows Firewall on or off". Click the Turn off Windows Firewall option for both Home and public networks. You may already have windows allowing STEAM to pass through the firewall. But this is a good way to test if windows is blocking it anyways or ports arent opened on your router for gaming. Make sure to re-enable windows firewall if MM doesnt work again after this. I would restart your computer before attempting to do a MM once disabling just to be safe.

**If you have spyware/virus software running, consider completely shutting them down then trying MM to see if they might be bugging it. Just make sure to turn it back on after!

2. If disabling the firewall still isnt working, the last thing you can try is:

In windows 7 - START - type in 'regedit' in the search bar. If you don't have a search bar goto "start" - "run" then type regedit. It is important not to screw around in here once its opened.

Go here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER.... SOFTWARE.......VALVE....STEAM. Once you click on the steam folder you should be able to see values pop up on the right window. Look for a REG_SZ named "MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin" value. Right click on it and goto Modify. Change the value to 175 and press OK.......IF you do NOT have 'MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin' when you are in the STEAM folder as mentioned, dont worry just add it.... Right click in the right window and goto "New" then "String Value". Name it "MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin" and press enter. Right click on the string you just created and goto 'Modify...'. Change the value to 175.

Restart your computer and try MM.

If all these don't fix your problem, you might want to try re-installing the game or contacting steam technical service for further assistance.

I freshly formatted my SSD last week and encountered the same error so i figured i would post what worked for me. I haven't had any issues. Each time i format my hard drive, i just do all these steps at one time, then restart my computer and try MM. Lemme know if you run into any issues. BTW i chose 175 for the values incase people are playing with friends in different areas, feel free to change it to 60-100 if you start getting bad pings in MM. I wouldn't recommend going below 175 until you see that MM is not bugging anymore, then you can keep dropping the value down lower and lower at each step untll you find the niche where it won't bug out. Good luck!

So I am having a very strange problem, my dad is a gamer, cool ik, but we tried to play a game recently, and it only happens when we are in the same lobby. Basically it takes a while to find a lobby, and then it doesnt bring up a button to press, just when it should (after confirm) just says me or him didnt failed to accept it.
D3v 9 MAY 2015 a las 18:52
Luigi I am having the exact same problem as you, except I'm the dad. Only happens when we are in the same lobby. For me this started yesterday evening. I was able to play a game (full 5-man team, MM on cobble) earlier in the day, just after lunch. When I tried later, around 6pm, the problems began. If I leave the lobby, the 4 of them get a game instantly. I tried a different steam account, but that did not work either. Only my son and I are on the same internet/LAN, but it has never once been a problem before. Do you have verizon fios? They update software/firmware on the fios routers silently: it's possible a change they made messed things up with UPNP and port forwarding in the last couple days. I'll be power cycling the modem and hoping it is a solution somehow. Will post a follow-up if I find a fix
D3v 11 MAY 2015 a las 18:35
i got mine working; I have a few PCs on LAN here, and it was just this one having problems regardless of the steam account I used on it. Shut down the computers, powered off/on my fios router, then back on with the PCs and it has worked just fine since. It's easy to get the impression that it is a valve thing since it APPEARS that the game is not working correctly, but, at least for me, the problem was mine. The thing that convinced me was that since I couldn't join the match, I thought i'd spectate; but when I tried to watch, it showed the connecting screen and just sat there... I brought up the console and could see it attempting over and over to connect to the proxy/gotv server, but failing. I tried to spectate several friend's games, and all did the same thing, which confirmed it was a software or networking problem on my end. I wish I had a more specific note than 'turn off your computer and your cable modem, then back on', but that was it.. GL
I did everything but it still doesnt work for me please help i need assistence ;'c
Don't play competitively.
Lots of russians.

Do you have hamachi running and connected to a network? Sometimes that will cause problems with this, specifically. (if you do, change hamachi settings to not run when windows loads and reboot, then try)

Had the problem here again on 2nd pc running csgo; whichever pc ran csgo first would work, the other wouldnt. Turns out (for me) that setting the launch options for my 2nd pc for csgo fixed the problem. I had to change the default port from 27000 to 27001-27015 (i chose 27009) by adding +clientport 27009 in the csgo launch options. This ONLY works if you launch the game from inside steam via the library/games and play button. Also, this only applies to those who are running more than one pc w csgo through the same internet connection behind a router. GL
There is actually a VERY simple fix for this.

While in the menu for the game go to your game's video options.
Turn your normal resolution down. For me, I had to go to the smallest resolution.
Try to find a game. Once it does, the start button will appear.
After you're in a game, re-set your resolution to what you would normally have it at.
From here on, you shouldn't have any issues.

Someone was kind enough to pass this along to me in game. It doesn't work IN a game, you have to do it from the game's menus before attempting to join one.

I hope this helps!
