hmmm.. weird... it should work..

try going to your \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg

open config.cfg and autoexec.cfg .. edit them in there.... make sure cs:go is closed

umm.. make a new config.cfg.... why did you delete the old one? or just verify game cache integrity to get a new one...

still dont know what you mean by say_team .. thats not a command anymore.

- close cs:go
- delete config.cfg
- right click cs:go in steam, select properties
- local files tab
- verify integrity of game cahce
- once done, launch cs:go from steam
- reset up all your mouse/keyboard/video settings

let me know if this works.

i checked, when i hit 'u' and type, i get the same "tried to look up command as if it were a variable'

but it still shows what i typed in chat.

next.. I would try to reinstalling your sound drivers and directX

is your monitor using hdmi by any chance?

I have the same error and I can my "Config" like no other. but I think it is a mistake to put in Valve's files

(zombie thread )anybody found a solution yet ? i am getting this problem from 2 days . can text chat with in game .. voice chat is fine !

its rather strange problem .. sometimes the error in console is there but players can see my message while other times they cannot !

i can try help you my friend, because i see you have only 130+ played hours so you are newbie. just uninstall CS:GO, go to steam/steamapps/common/ and delete folder "Counter-Strike Global Offensive" if you want, you can backup (save) your config, so go to the folder .../csgo/cfg/ and save only "config.cfg" not all folder (because problem can be there), after that you can uninstall, delete folder, install and try chat (first with default config!)

I am dumbfounded ! Even though the error is always there in console , sometimes teammates and others are able to read my messages ( played 2 matches today and in both chat worked ) .
