(SOLVED) = FREEZE - FREEZE - FREEZE - thanks CSGO
So, brand spanking new COMPUTER and CSGO crashes every 10 - 20 minutes. Tried everything under the sun, still an issue. What gives? Now, I had ZERO ISSUES on my 4 year old computer, but my brand new computer - NOTHING BUT TROUBLE :(

  • Windows 8.1 64-bit
  • Intel Core i7 5820K @ 3.30GHz 37 °C
  • 32.0GB Unknown @ 1199MHz (16-16-16-39)
  • MSI X99S GAMING 7 (MS-7885) (SOCKET 0) 38 °C
  • 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA) 45 °C
  • 465GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (SSD) 34 °C
  • Realtek High Definition Audio

FREEZE, FREEZE AND NOTHING BUT FREEZING. Google it, I am not the only one...

------------------------------------------------------

I solved my issue by uninstalling the SOUND/AUDIO REALTEK Drivers (Device Manager -- Uninstall HARDWARE -- Check box to REMOVE SOFTWARE) = let Windows choose the Audio drivers. Solved my issue AS I HAVE NOT CRASHED at all in the last week...

I have the same problem

Sucks, right? Totally pisses me off that I spent and spend money and can't play. At least I have an SSD drive so my complete system reboot is under 1 minute, but at what cost of me hard booting the machine 5 times every hour?

thanks csgo? my csgo runs forever without errors of any kind must just be your copy..

i can help you narrow your problem to realtek it blows donkey ♥♥♥♥♥ try disabling your sound see if it still freezes

just because your computer is new does not mean it wont have any tech issues for X amount of time.

your system is freezing the game for some reason. use google to try to figure it out. google: "csgo freeze" or something like that

2 things. First, try turning off multi core rendering in settings. That should solve it without any lag issues. If that doesn't do it, turn down all video settings to low and or off whenever possible. See if that helps if Multi Core off doesn't. Have a killer computer too and I freeze at times. Since I did this, I have crashed once in a month and I know that was overheating.

Yup, already disabled multi-core and confirmed no heat issues. Guess I will try to lower down the resolution to see if that helps. Either way, still a pain in the ass that the game crashes on this one, but the other computer in my room has ZERO ISSUES. Also - only crashes in this game, nothing else!

Have you updates your graphics drivers?

Have you verified your game cache on steam?

Have you tried reinstalling?

Do you have this issue with any other game besides CS GO?

Clean install drivers
Flo-9 30 Jun, 2015 @ 5:08am
Open CMD (run as admin) type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" after completion type "sfc /scannow". Restart and verify game cache.

Windows 8 maybe the problem?
Try windows 7 and see what happens.

Have youe tried the machine on other games?
The GPU or PSU may be faulty for all you know.

What part of what he said the issue was shows his system was broken? Seems pretty apparent why you need a private profile to hide behind.

YOU MUST be some kind of stupid. How the F can default DRIVERS for a simple on/board SOUND CARD have that drastic of an impact? Next I am pretty sure your going to blame my IRQ settings, but then again - you probably weren't even born yet to understand what that means. Move along... There are thousands of "Freezing" issues related to CSGO, this was the first that I saw that was related to sound drivers.
