Why are prices of skins like over the top now?

This is honestly just plain dumb, I haven't played cs since like 2017 and was thinking of getting back into it and wanted to get my vanilla butterfly off market, they were like 130-150 last time I played, now imagine my face when a basic vanilla knife is like 1k euros.
That is just beyond stupid and lame and the fact that it has been like that for years makes me question wtf is wrong with this community? Like fine, if it was some kind of a one of a kind item, then sure ig, but this thing isn't even rare or anything, I mean now it is, cause no one with a brain would waste 1k euros on it. I never minded cs market and economy before, but now this is just out of hand. 90% of skins are just over the price they are actually worth.

The more I look into recent updates, the less I wish to come back, seems to me Valve is just bending over to these skin junkies on youtube and don't actually care about the game itself nor towards those who just want to play the game, now we got costume agents, gloves etc. What is next? Costume shoes? We gonna have CT's with Air Jordans and T's with Yeezy shoes?

I doubt it will ever happen, but I hope one day Valve just shuts down community market for good. They removed keys cause people using for illegal purposes. yet they still do it with TF2 keys and some csgo skins, Valve should really focus on their products.
