They want you to log into their phishing page with your Steam username, password and the guard code. That's how like 95% scams happen.
They can ... if the hacker is good enough !
I can create a website that would hack your pc, collect all your data, like phonenumbers, email adresses, access codes, router informations, pictures, video´s, access to your webcam, even sent me your latest location on googlemaps, redirect your account if you are logged into steam and change the password if you dont have 2fa on it .. so if i can, and im kinda rusty and have not done it for some time/years now, because i dont need that kind of information on people, But a Hacker that do this for a living sure can do it easy if he/she is finetuned !
Dont click links that you dont know what is or lead to, is my best security advice to this Steam community !
