Are the Skins from CS2 actually on the 3D Models of CS:GO ?

i mean.. looking at a player that has the vanilla usp-s and one having any skin on it.. you can clearly see that the back part of the gun is like 3 times bigger and completely different. is it supposed to be like that? didn't they port all csgo skins on cs2 weapon models?

not all of them. check the ak model without skin and baroque purple, and u will find they have different magazine models. same for m4a4 and most other models. most painted skins still use old models cause valve or makers haven't paint it on new models yet. only a few skins(usually low tier skins like ak safari mesh) use the new model cause they r not painted, they just cover a pattern picture on the model so they don't change much. don't know whether valve will just let them be and make new skins on new models or fit old skins on new model(ofc it takes much much more time and effort)
