Q: Was this really leaked?

A: I don't know. I made this to keep all the post under wraps and for a central place information can be posted as it is available.

Update - Yes, may have been leaked. Don't want to say my self for sure, until Valve has confirmed though.

Official response:

We have reviewed the leaked code and believe it to be a reposting of a limited CS:GO engine code depot released to partners in late 2017, and originally leaked in 2018. From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds.

As always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security.

We will continue to investigate the situation and will update news outlets and players if we find anything to prove otherwise. In the meantime, if anyone has more information about the leak, the Valve security page (next tweet) describes how best to report that information.

Q: Do I have to make my profile private?

A: ... not unless you want to. Source code would have nothing to do with your account and is strictly game related.

Q: What about the video/images of people in TF2 gettin hacked?

A: Fake. Notice each video has a different way of showing how they were "hacked".

Source 2 implemented fully in CSGO?

What is your opinion about it? From what I know the Hud of Cs will change and the movement will prob feel different. Valve might release it Summer.

Actually no. The panorama UI is source 2. Was 2018 summer.

I do have to agree on the lack of competition part. There really wasn't anything that can ultimately compete with csgo.

Nah I think there was some leak that says that source 2 is coming soon.
