Think these are good changes and hopefully curb all the fake votes on the Workshop and otherwise stop people from abusing functionality.
The various anti-cheat(s) and other counter methods are in place to punish cheaters from cheating and making it hard for them to come back and do so under a new account.
This is just to make sure that VAC-banned and often abandoned accounts, aren't used to manipulate the workshop and the community otherwise.
As is often the case, Valve makes changes to improve things - and unless it's a clear test, there will be a good idea behind it that actually solves things.
I do understand it's hard to see the bigger picture though.
Offer a solution that works then, or dont post at all.
