Walking through companions?
Is there a key or option or something I can press to enable walking through my companions?

For a few of the screens in Episode 6, when you enter you're in a one-tile wide corridor with one of the companions starting in front of you and the other behind, so you have to click a ton to get one of them to move. And then the other one stays blocking the exit until you coax them out of the way.

I've gotten soft-locked five times now so far in Episode 6 (trapped by companions) and I haven't even found the first encounter yet!

There is no such option, but IIRC the companions don't actually follow the player character, they go to the point you clicked. So if you find yourself in a narrow passage, just click where you want to go, wait till the blocking companion reaches the target, then click again somewhere near it.
At least I remember that working for me.

Yes, and that behaviour is equally as infuriating. Sometimes when I'm not stuck and click on the only exit tile on the map, one of the companions goes there first, getting wedged in.

I think it would be tolerable if not for the slow movement speed which is the real problem.
It's better in principle than, say, old Fallout where you could force companion to move but only one tile at a time.

Honestly even with faster movement, this would be an issue. That and the issue where if your character walks onto a space that changes screens while on the way to talk to someone, you're stuck on a black screen and need to fumble around for a while to find another exit to get your vision back!

Uh, I don't remember encountering that particular bug. Though triggers unnecessarily interrupting everything sucks.
Really? I'm getting it all the time. Episode 6 has a lot of NPCs next to exits (and also locked doors, which if triggered prevent the NPC conversation).

It doesn't help that your character is required to move first when you talk to an NPC, even if you are already standing next to them.
Accidentally walking on exit triggers while trying to initiate dialog happened, but I don't remember that resulting in a black screen.
...really? I freshly installed the game so it can't be any kind of old-version issue. Let me get a video, it shouldn't take long...

Edit: There we go.

Huh, I checked and it does happen.
Either I just forgot about it or it didn't happen on older versions.

I think saving then loading loads the location properly.
Possibly. That could take longer than fumbling about depending on where you are.
