Cross platform?

Is the multiplayer cross platform or are you only able to play with the platform you buy this on?

No plans for cross-platform capability at launch, but we're not ruling it out for the future.

By no cross-platform do you mean Linux users won't be able to play with Windows users, or Steam users won't be able to play with Playstation users? Or both?

Apologies for the confusion, pb - PC, OSX and Linux users will be able to play together.

But all other platforms will not have cross-platform play. So for example, PS4 and Xbox will not be cross-compatible, and PS4 and Steam will not be cross compatible, and so on and so forth.

Cross platform play is not something we're working on right now. If this changes, we'll post an official announcement on our channels.

Considering Sony's stance on cross-play at the moment, I think it's a given that you won't see PS4 crossplay with anything else. When Epic games can't make it happen and is even forced to have you create a new account with a different e-mail for Fortnite, I'm rather sure these guys won't have any success swaying their opinion.

The others, you could hope for down the line. If the game isn't coded entirely differently it is not impossible to hope for.

As to me, I'm happy to see online Multiplayer. Loved the trailers, but still didn't get OC1 until it was in humble monthly for the sole reason that co-op is pretty much a must for the game, and I have no friends nearby for a couch session.

You mean its something you worked on to prevent. By default a server has no idea what kind of machine a network packet is being sent from. Don't excuse microsoft and sony anti-consumer/dev policies.
