Creating characters that look/feel the class your playing.
While the game offers various ways to create a character, I tend to create characters that are identifiable with his/her role, example; Wood elf hunter, Orc 2handed warrior, High elf/Breton mage..etc. For me, this is the only way I can stay "attached" to that character.

I can't play characters that do not "fit" the role. Not only does it not look right to me, it doesn't "feel" right as well.

My Orc weilds a 2 handed mace, wears heavy armor and is doing the Dawnguard questline...killing some vamps!.....I can't picture this toon doing say...The Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves guild questlines. I'll tend to create more toons just to experience those questlines.

I can't have one toon that "does it all".

just curious, anyone else that does something like this??

Yes, I do. If you don't know it yet, check out the Syrim Redone mod on the Nexus, a really immersive mod that supports and rewards the way you play.
well i think mage's can do everything. alteration can raise your defense and Conjuration can get you to summon up weapon's so that fill's thr role of the warrior. For an assasin or thief, all you need to do is invest a good few perk's into sneaking. Thief's usually support the Archer or sneaky type's while an assasin can be anything so long as it can sneak. And mage's use magic so youve got that covered. Mage's in skyrim can cover everything if done correctly.
Khajiit, nocturnal Hunter with Bow. Pretty kickaz to be honest hehe...smooth-talks all the lady-traders huehuehue.. :kitteh:
Not sure what my main character Draxx would fit in... He is a Nord using wrist blades and 1 handed swords and destruction magic most of the time. War-mage? Maybe? Also uses a blade staff sometimes. Anyways he hunts vampires, monsters and criminals. And he has a burning passion of hate towards the Empire and Thalmor.

Play all the "good guy/champion/help out the week/feeble" stuff first... your once "valliant hero" gets betrayed by the resorts to being a theif and assasin to earn fortune and fame.... (some RP needed I guess) Personally I just play as an orc because of the racial bonus... it's one of the more usefull ones
