what do i need to do to play skyrim at ultra setting

i need help. i want to know how skyrim looks like in ultra settings because i like to play games in the highest settings. so i want to know if i need to upgrade my laptop.

i have:

intel core i3
cpu 2.40 ghz
4.00 gb

You can see if the HD texture packs work (wait, what?). Seriously, I was able to play Skyrim at medium to high settings and I decided to try out the official texture packs. I didn't have to change my settings and they made the game not only look better but also run smoother. I'm not sure why, but I think (and this is a big think) it allows Skyrim to relegate more memory to textures. Again, not 100% on that; but that's my theory.

Otherwise, just do what GGNORE said and get a desktop.

you dont need 16gb ram for gaming, ever
the quality of the PSU is more important than the wattage
you can run skyrim on ultra (even with the HD mods) on a lower specced machine than that

If you're gonna' play with the highest settings then you probably need a hell of a good pc. My old pc was pretty good, but it still found it tricky to run ultra vannilla specs. Most laptops and pc's can have difficulty with the vannilla ultra settings, but investing a couple of hundred quid could easily rectify this problem.
