The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Only game I don't regret buying.
For one, it's engaging and heavily modifiable. Don't like the graphics? Mod the crap out of them. Don't like the combat as it's too easy? Download mods that give enviornmental factors an impact on your characters combat performance. But enough of that, the reason why I don't regret it ? Because the game is just immersive and fun as well. It may have its weak spots for the die-hard fans but this is the "chapter" you may call it that opened the world of The Elder Scroll to me as the other games weren't in my fancy.

So far? The Lore amount is astounding for a singleplayer game; sank nearly 300 hours played and yet haven't even finished majority of the quests as I find myself wondering around, exploring which is hard to come by in other games. Simply put; for a 39.99 deal that I've had in which I sank 300+ hours the game's value paid itself off by being entertaining and engaging.

Besides; who doesn't want to be a dragon-slaying dragon-speaking hero of a civil war conquering bandits and zombies while woo'ing the townsfolk and their beauties? :D

We really do need more games like this. I have played games such as Dragons Dogma that is also a great rpg game, but nothing compares to Skyrim or Oblivion, Skyrim, in my opnion, being the better. After playing for over 700 hours on Skyrim on all platforms, it has become my favorite. There are just so many things that you are able to do, andd just when you think your done, you find something else to do.

out of curiosity, can someone leave me a list in response to this message of every game that is as massive and detailed in charachter creation as Skyrim is?
To be honest this is the first Single-player RPG of the sort that I've found so wouldn't be able to help you there. Best bet would've been the TES predecessors such as suggested above; Oblivion. (Also can be heavily overhauled with mods as most games on PC :P).

ive played oblivion and much rather prefer skyrim. no bothesda games please as i will be getting fallout 3 and maybe new vegas soon.
Speaking of the devil; Fallout 3 is actually a Bethesta game hehe. Completely forgot about it. It doesn't have as a rigid story as Skyrim but it does allow for tons of hours to be sunk into as well. I've just asked my brother as well; you could try The Witcher 2, It doesn't have such wildly costumizable options as TES games, but it's very solid in storyline and combat system is preatty neat as similar to Ninja Gaiden, anything could kill you even the most basic enemy.

ive been downloading witcher 2 all day. Dx as for NG, is it available on steam? ive thrown my consoles away fo gaming PC's. :P
No, Ninja Gaiden is Xbox exclusive I believe, but you could dig around for a console emulator on PC, not the most effective way to play console games but possible.

If it is too easy go into settings and play Legendary and limit your weapons. I have progressed onto Master setting in my first play through. You can still get killed because your enemies are stronger as well.
I seriously think Skyrim is the best game I have ever played!
