P.S.: People are able to see that you're a blood starved vampire through your helmet even if it covers your entire face. It's stupid, but makes you pay attention to your levels of vampirism.
For the sunlight nerfing, that I can understand the point completly, even if clothing should protect you from it, I can completly see why it is there from a playability/immersion side of things.
But Vampires as we know them tend to blend in society, and only changes while feeding. They are usually beautifull and attractive, to attract their prey. Having a prey attack you is not a very common tactic for a hunter usually, and natural evolution tend to take the logical approach to things. To me, the vampires (non lords) are not designed properly for the hostility on either mythical, or logical point of views. If anything, NPC's should become friendlier to a hungry vampire, and willing to follow them in secluded areas for feeding ^_^.
I would have abolsutely nothing against a mod, but I could not find one, and as stated in another thread, my modding skills are erm... bad.
Before the last paragraph, you basically described the effects of vampire's seduction ( the most useful spell for a starving vampire in skyrim) and you spoke of a very specific type of vampire.
Problem is, this game doesn't give you any type of choice on being a vampire, you're either a vampire (vampire lord is actually more than a vampire, but you get my point) and take the pros and cons like a man or you're a werewolf and are more balanced and don't get annoying tasks. I am planning on being both a werewolf and vampire lord if possible, since I already have the cons of being a vampire lord and am getting used to them. Once you get used to regular feeding, you start to not care about it, you may make a mistake and miss a day of feeding, but that isn't too bad and can be solved. As I said, you can only get more options with a mod. I'll see if I can find one for you, but I wont' use it. I like the feeding.
You can also find it in the steam workshop, just copy the name. I'll keep trying to find a way to stop the npcs from attacking you.
I hope that this information has been useful, if you need more help, just ask and feel free to add me on friends if you want to.
Note that this does not apply to DG members attacking you, since they are out hunting vampires.
I have never liked the vampire element of the Oblivion franchise at all and that is why I have always avoided it, stealth isn't my cup of tea and I hate being confined to strict rules, which is exactly what vampirism is all about. If you'd take a moment, you'd notice that Skyrim's towns and villages are not littered with vampires and the few that do assult the towns are quickly noticed.
I love the Werewolf trait because it completely negates the chance of being a vampire.
