Is skyrim worth re buying?

Ok, so I own skyrim on PS3, since a couple months after release, and after a long time playing it, I got really bored of it and just didnt play anymore. However, ever since I build my gaming PC (which was like a week ago WOOT) Ive been wanting to try a crap load of games on it and I heard skyrim is awesome with mods. I just dont know if its worth forking out another 40 dollars on a game that I got bored with (without mods of course.), So what do you guys think? Should I buy it again or will I be dissappointed with that decision? Thanks!!

I think mods give Skyrim near infinite replayability. I got bored with the vanilla game pretty fast, but not have logged 300 hours with mods ^^. And I haven't even gotten to them all yet O_o And there's still like, tons more I want to use D:.

Oh god there's too many of them O_O;;;; Ahhhh! X_x

But no, in all seriousness, I think that you should get Skyrim on Steam - but only if you did enjoy the vanilla game and stopped playing because it felt too small, fast or lacking in content.

Those are the three things that mods will add immensely to (and make it prettier ^_^).



Actually, do this:
Check out the top 10 pages of mods on the 'best of' in steam, then do the same in the Nexus. Make a list of mods that sound awesome. If you aren't salivating at the mouth over the ideas that some of them represent, then don't rebuy Skryim.

If you decide to grab it again, you might want to wait until the Legendary Edition comes out in June. Skyrim + all three dlcs for a lot less than you'll pay now for all of it.

Just hold for now. They'll going to release the legendary bundle with everything together and will be on sale as well. You may just need to shred some $10 bucks or so.

Skyrim is a completely different (well, almost) game when modded. Go for it.

I also originally bought the game on PS3 and was really disappointed....

but then I bought it on PC :D
once you get some mods going and you see the way it plays on PC, even vanilla, you can tell that the difference is AMAZING....

Its impossible to enjoy playing a good mage on the console skyrim because of CONSTANTLY having to freeze the game to load your spell menus to change spells... that doesnt happen in the PC version.... plus everything loads faster and runs better and can potentially look exponentially better

I dont have many mods going, but most are graphics and fixes.... people FREAK OUT when they see me playing Skyrim.... They can't believe the difference.... Whiterun specifically since it's the easiest to recognize for console players... they cant believe that whiterun is GREEN with plants and birds and dynamic fires... When the new ps4 and xbox720 come out they STILL would not be able to load whiterun the way it looks now (in my game)

wait for a sale so you can pick up the DLC as well
and like all PC games the graphics go as far as your GPU can take them (wmods) but vanilla PC Skyrim is still much better than the console version, by far...

Much was said here, I can just tell, I played 99 - 100 hours of PC Skyrim and had a chance to play it on friends PS3 for couple of hours. It was a massive difference. On PC version I have loading times much shorter, no lag, no freeze, much better controls. Although the freeze problem could be on his PS3 disc.
I haven´t moded Skyrim anyhow and I sometimes still load it up.
