Constant crashes on clean install
it was working fine a month or so ago, but now that i am getting back to it, i cannot play for more than 5 mins. without a crash. I have no mods, and have defragged my harddrive and such, and also tired over 7 clean installs, i cannot figure it out.

Refunds are given on a case by case basis. There is no set time to 'get' a refund.

However, support will want to try to resolve the issue first, which will mean directing you towards the publishers for further help and possible resolutions.

how do i get the process started? where do i ask or who do i contact?

What game? start by looking for help/ support in the game hub.

well, it's skyrim. I have been playing it perfectly for awhile, but since the last few patches, it no longer plays for more than 5 mins. without crashing, and no matter what i try, i cant get it to operate properly. I have tried 7 fresh installs, and cleared my hard drive twice. I don't know what the problem could possibly be, but i paid money for it, and now i cannot play it.

You wont get a refund on skyrim but i moved your thread to the skyrim forum so you can try and get some help fixing the issue.

alright then, i will keep trying to work it out i suppose, but i am stumped here. What happens if i don't ever get it to work? was my 59.99 wasted?

The game does work. The issue will be with whatever you did since the game came out or your pc.

well yes, for other users, so i am guessing it means there is a problem on my side. Maybe my operating system has an issue, or my harddrive has issues maybe? i''ll trial and error for awhile, or might just have to wait until i get a new pc, which...is dissapointing. But i suppose i understand.

Folks on here are generally pretty helpful. If you post specifics like your machine specs and details of the problem someone (not me cause I am dense when it comes of computers) might be able to lend some assistance.

alright then, here are my specs, i hope this is the right info.---> i have a 64 bit operating system, an AMD phenom II x4 945 processor 3.00 GHz , 8.GB ram, and an AMD Radeon HD 5450. And my audio is realtek Hd. The issue is, even on clean as crystal installs, i get constant crashes. Open a door, *crash* load a save game, *crash*, walk for a few minutes, *crash*. And i have tried quite a bit, i have no mods, and to be honest, it was working just fine a month ago, where i would play for hours with no problems.

You're sure you have no mods? They are 98% the problem most of the time.
la_nague 22. nov. 2013 kl. 6.44
did you really do a clean install of skyrim or did you deinstall it and install it again.

Because if you deinstall it, there might be things left in the skyrim folder that the uninstaller doesnt remove...like modified files.

well, i actually deleted everything related to it each time i installed, just to be safe. And no, i played with mods a long time ago, but as you said they caused alot of issues. Since then i started playing vanillia, and it was working fine, until just a few days ago, when the crashes every few seconds started. The strange thing is, i have not updated my PC or made any changes to it, so i can't imagine what is causing it.

System restore to a time when it worked?

i'll try that, and see if it works. Hopefully it will undo whatever the problem is
