Oblivion Walker Worries

I'm playing through Skyrim again on the PC and I want to make sure I get the Oblivion Walker achievement. I've read about people getting 15 of the I've redone the required Daedric items and still not getting the achievement. I'd like to know if any of these three rumors are known to be true by anyone who earned the achievement:

1. The Skeleton Key does not count toward the achievement

2. Reading the Oghma Infinium destroys the book, so it then won't count toward the achievement

3. Both the Savior's Hide and the Ring of Hircine are required to receive the achievement

Through the console, remove one of the quests (resetquest da01), then finish (setstage da01 110)
Achievement will be obtained, provided that all the artifacts already earned.

3. You don't need them both, but there are a couple missible ones. If you use the glitch to get both from the quest it will make up for any you may have missed.

Yup! My old roomate had the x-box version.
Remeber to get the mask instead of the rueful axe and to side with the cannables during the Namira mission.

Slacker: Yes, thanks for the reminder. I read that, too. So did you have both the Hide and Hircine's Ring? I have only the hide and wonder if I should load a save to get the ring and hide.

Yes I did. if there's a glitch that allows me to get all the quest rewards, I will exploit it!

I hear that! Some say both are required, but I wonder if that is true only if the Oghma Infinium is destroyed by reading it. Hmmm.

The Skeleton Key does indeed not count.

The Oghma Infinium is destroyed after reading it but will still count towards the achievement. Same goes for any artifact you sell or lose, you only need to earn it at some point.

There are 15 quests during each of which you can earn one artifact, except Hircine's quest where you can earn two. So there are 16 artifacts total of which you need any 15.

Thanks, Len. I wonder why some report the issue and others do not. Also I don't think it is caused only by mods, because someone I know is sure he had 16 of the items on the XBox but still did not get the achievement.
