Sharpshooter's ENB + Realistic lighting + Several HD Mods. You can get them all on nexusmods.com.

I personally like to use DragonWarrior Effects over ENB (but only because my computer isn't quite good enough to run ENBs yet), but DW E is still nice and fully customizable in-game. I also use Skyrim HD 2K Textures, as well as Alternate HQ Water Textures and W.A.T.E.R.

Another mod that is just personal preference is Grass on Steroids. It adds more grass and flora to the game without a huge performance drop when you run it with iMinGrassSize at 75 or above (and no, that doesn't make the grass extremely sparse when you have this mod on, it actually is thicker than the normal game.) I also like to use Supersun, but again, that's what I personally prefer.

If you like, you can use ENB mods with DragonWarrior Effects if you go into the enbseries.ini and set UseOriginalPostProccessing=1.

from here i would get lockpick pro and passive racial abilities. from Nexus i would get the cursor bug fix, a quality world map, bandoliers, the lost art of the blacksmith, and the unofficial patches.

Pratical Mods if you use SKSE get the Uncapper, SkirimUI, and I like the OBIS mod.

And the Unofficial Patches are a must I speak from pratical experience on that one I have over 2300 hours played and those have fixed many bugs.

And give "Immersive Saturation Boost" a try (workshop). A few places are a bit too much colorful (Solitude' grass during daytime for example), but without exagerating I'm re-discovering the game. And I tried a lot of ENBs and others tweaks. Add the realistic lighting mod and you have a really good combination without any performance loss. Of course you may add what other people suggested, I just didn't want to repeat what was already said.

I like♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ It completely overhauls the perk system. Dynamic loot is good if you want better item drops from enemies.

A really good companion mod would be Companion Vilja. I don't want to spoil anything for you so i'm not going to say anything else.
