Nexus mods

I have gotten a few mods,but since I just started Nexus , I dont know how to get them on steam.Please help.

Get them on Steam?
You are not getting them to Steam, but to your HD. Everything you install to your game goes trough that.

Answer to your question can be found from here. You might find few other handy tips as well. I know that I did, descpite of spending an eternity by modding Skyrim. :)

What exactly is the problem? Which mods, and was a couple of them SKSE and SkyUI by chance? If yes, then you may be launching the game incorrectly. Once you have SKSE installed, you'll have to run the game through SKSE's launcher, and there are multiple ways of doing that. NMM has a drop-down option to use SKSE's launcher, or you can use the shortcut created by SKSE directly.

If this isn't your issue, posting some more details might help us figure out why it's not working for you. Because once you install the mods, they "follow you around" and you shouldn't have to do anything until you want to start adding more, or tweaking the ones you have.
