Let's Play Skyrim (Any suggestions?)

So I decided to start a Let's Play of Skyrim for my YouTube channel because I really love this game. At the moment I have 5 episodes online but I don't really get allot of viewers, I would love to get some feedback.

Hey, I'm just in the middle of some other stuff so I didn't watch more than a few minutes (part two), but it seems a decent start. Just one thought - the Let's Plays I like watching tend to be ones where the player tries not to 'break character' too much, for example I think it's fine to use your player knowledge of the area (e.g. going to find those bandits to kill and loot) but it would be more fun to watch if you pretended not to know and said something like 'Hadvar's right, probably best to split up, wonder what's over here?' then headed in the exact same direction.

You don't necessarily have to go to the lengths that some go to (my favourite is SorcererDave's series with the character Claudius) with complex backstories, but I think the more you can flesh out your character the more distinctive it'll be, and the more likely people will want to watch multiple episodes, check back for new ones and such.

Thank you gnewna! I think you're right, but I'm not the best actor so it would be very forced. But I get it, get my character a backstory, some extra roleplaying elements, I like that! Since I made him a Orc warrior I can come up with something special.

You don't need to be a good actor, and to be honest it can be quite funny if it's obvious you're pretending not to know stuff e.g. I watched an LP of a guy who was playing as a non-adventurer who decides to take Klimmek's bag of supplies up the mountain because after all, "it's a bit of a climb, but it's just a delivery job!" of course the player KNEW what he'd run into about halfway up, and the viewer knows he knows that, but the character doesn't. I guess it's a bit of a balancing act :) I'm not sure it's even acting I'm talking about, just a little 'oh, gee, wonder what's round this corner' type thing. (If you feel self conscious, I think it's also fine to make a joke of it, or say something like 'look, I know we all KNOW this, but Orcky McOrcface doesn't...')

Sounds nice, I don't own the Dragonborn DLC yet, but will certainly get it in the future.

I do agree with the others, using outside game knowledge kinda spoils some stuff for the viewer. Best to stick to what your character would know.
