I think looking back that poor combat system, poor visuals and lack of voice acting are some of the biggest weaknesses of Morrowind, so fixing those with the Skyrim engine should make a better game. Still though it's going to be a completely new game entirely, I don't think it's good to consider it Morrowind (as we know it) in the Skyrim engine.
Back on topic, while I am looking forward to it, I am a bit worried how some things will work. Will we get the same old spells back? Does acrobatics, athletics, etc make a comeback?
That was an expansion, not an entire game... But it was a rather good expansion I'll give you that, but Tribunal was an amazing expansion in Morrowind as well.
That's also my main concern, considering the people working on it are obviously die hard fans of the series, they'll almost certainy get ESO (I know I am :D) and will take more and more time to complete Skywind.
Wouldn't really be Morrowind without them so hopefully they do. Morrowind without jump and levitate abilities would simply be lame. Mysticim really needs to make a comeback too.
As for ESO, I'm really not worried about that being the factor that would disrupt Skywind. Projects such as that one tend to fall victim to their own ambitiousness first, but it seems too far along the developmental path for that. Nope, I have high hopes.
Of course, I turn into a pile of reverant Morrowind-worshipping goo if anyone even says Nerevarine, so I'd be happy if someone just slapped a mushroom house in the middle of Whiterun and called it a day.
