First there's the summary page - that tells you what you load order is *now* (BOSS just changed it) how many plugins you have the BOSS recognized (it doesn't know all of the mods in existence - the list is getting larger but its a community updated project) how many it *doesn't recognize (get put at the end of your load order in alphabetical order so you really need to pay attention to these to sort out any remaining comflicts).
And, finally, it will tell you how many simple problems it detected and how many critical problems.
The next page is SKSE plugins - this is mainly to see if the SKSE plugins are installed properly - if you see your SKSE plugin here, its installed correctly.
The third page is known plugins. BOSS will sort these according to its heuristics but that's simply going to keep the game from crashing. Some plugins will change the same thins and the plugin lower down in the load order *wins* that conflict. Which means you need to have an idea of what your plugins do and which one you want to win if they modify the same stuff.
It will also show you things like plugins that have dirty edits. Don't go around fixing these willy-nilly. Some of those dirty edits are needed for the plugin to work. If you aren't sure or are not willing to spend a lot of time re-installing the game, ignore this.
Same with the yellow warnings.
Red Warnings you need to play attention to - typically they denote that you're missing files that that plugin needs to work. Game will crash if you have plugins without their required masters.
Also - you may see notes letting you know that a particular plugn is obsolete and should be replaced with a different one.
Last page is Unknown Plugins. THis is a list of the installed plugins that BOSS doesn't recognize. It will simply load these in alphabetical order with no further information on them.
If it CTD's at the logo then that's the first place to look for problems.
Lotus Notes, now IBM Notes was one of the first commercially available email management programs. It was kind of like Outlook but really, really user unfriendly; to the point that it sticks in my mind nearly 25 years later as one of the most confusing applications I have ever had to use. So, it was a joke. Apologies.
If you still get frequent crashes with BOSS and SKSE, it means that you either:
1) have mods that still conflict BADLY with other mods.
2) Have mods in need of 'cleaning' to remove some conflicts.
3) Just have 1+ really unstable mods.
Are they just random or do they happen after a certain amount of time? (or when you do certain things. Or when you're in combat only, or outdoors only?)
Can you give us a mod list? We might be able to easily spot ones that are unstable from our experience.
edit: It's true that skyrim does crash even at it's most vanilla, but that's infrequent.
