Around lvl 40 or so you either have to turn skills legendary or train /use skills you dont want.
ive also done just collecting shouts or stones of bereziah(whatever). doing it this way i never get overly bored with the game. i also use alternate start to immediately be a member of a guild or placed in a certain spot to get going right away.
It makes it very challenging. ....It was almost too challenging.
I have over 2000 hrs with xbox and pc and it is just this playthrough that i have decided to use more than just a few mods to adjust this or that. N ever have i really been bored but the thought of me raising my 2 handed skill to get perks in illusion annoys me. so other than 2 complete playthroughs i usually do what i wnt and get out. Plus i love bretons and dumner so i have a hard time deciding which i want to spend 300 hours with
Smile!
Thanks for your reply! I have "2326" hours, only on PC. I just checked. I only know that, thanks to "Steam" keeping track for me. That's nice of them to do that too. Hmm. I see, I think. I've yet to do all that much with other races. Once I learned about, "BAT EveryPerk", I don't think about how I'm going to raise them. I used to go to the place with the container that had all of the skill books in it, and "read" them and that got my characters up into the 20s, level wise. I did that just so that they would be counted in the journal. Ditto for the spell tomes. I accidently discovered, that with "BAT EveryPerk", I don't need to do that, as it raised the skills too, and well as supplies all of those spells. But it does so while leaving one at Level One. I set my own level to 100, when I found out that Thomas doesn't appear unless you're Level 18 or higher when you first enter Bleak Falls Barrow. But I was too late! So I had to have him placed at me, then witness Riverwood's townfolk kill him off, so he's dead as he was intended to be anyway, before I loot him. Err, sorry to digress.
I don't know if I should mention this or not, but most of my characters have been Imperial Females, because most of the mods I use, are female body mods. Just once I'd like to make one that can make it all the way to game's end. (Ditto for "Oblivion".) Then maybe I'll try other types of people. As a player, I began trying to recreate myself in the game world, but I didn't like being forced to do actions that I myself wouldn't do. So I stopped doing that. Though there are mods that can change it, so I don't have to do some of those actions. I'm still in search of perfecting my Imperial Female. My problem I think, is too many options!
Having too many options in Real Life, slows me down too. Just ask any celebrity that as asked me to pick my favorite picture of them, for an autograph! ;-) Or ask any waitress that as asked me what I want to eat or drink.
Well, now you know that I'm a writer, you know why I gave you a rather lengthy reply. But I most likely won't be repeating this anywhere else, save for a clip and paste effort. I tend to try and not repeat myself.
what i fell asleep
oh there are too many options hence my restarteritis plus i keep finding new mods, too many in fact
I am using 1 character. If I beat the game, I restart completely. after writing down her HP, magika, stamina, and skill levels.
Then before they cut off my head, I type it all in. So I can continue a story (even if it is the same stories over and over). I may stop once I mastered all skills.
To be honest, I almost did as well. But hey, don't ask if you don't want the answer! ;-)
I think that you've stated what my game goal is! Thanks!
Good for you! Be careful though to avoid addiction and wrist problems.
I been gaming since I was 7, I never once had a health problem they warn you about. lol.
