Cleaning the Official Master ESMs
http://www.theassimilationlab.com/forums/topic/14507-guide-manual-cleaning-skyrim-master-files/
How do I "verify master files" to put them back?

Sorry should have included this in my last post.
Edit: just delete the stuff in the overwrite folder.
I did not do this, the game runs fine, great actually. Why mess with trying to clean them, right?
Official master files are indeed uncleaned. Bethesda never bothered to clean them. This is a problem, if mods try to use those records. Read more about this from part "Cleaning Files with Tes5Edit."

So then I pulled up Gamepoets video on how to run Tes5Edit with MO.
Something still isn't right.
I am getting this:

If you look at his video at 6:23 however, there is not supposed to be an "Update.esm" file above the Tes5Edit Backups folder.

I did it just like he said...
So my question is this.... (After I fix this again by following llja's tutorial) Can I just run Tes5Edit outside of MO (following Gopher's video tutorial) ? And will that work? Will they still be cleaned as if I had done it with MO? Or will MO not recognize the clean files?
I understand that.
What I mean is... If I run Tes5 outside of MO (like in Gopher's video, JUST cleaning the files that he does in his video).... will that still work?
Will MO register that those particular ones (Dawnguard, Hearthfires, and Dragonborn, I believe they are) have been cleaned (from the video)?
Or do they need to be done IN MO somehow for them to be cleaned in the game?
Here is Gopher's vid...
