Do you have a source for that, mate? Really interested in the game. :D

Also, the Linux version is already available on Itch.io.
Also, just a reminder that you can currently purchase a Linux version at https://mikegentry5.itch.io/anchorhead. (I know that some customers will want to go through Steam for specific and legitimate reasons; I only mention it for those for whom itch.io would be an acceptable alternative.)
Could you ship the current version? I hope than the steam runtime is at fault and that at least I could run the game with STEAM_RUNTIME=0. Worth trying, no ?
Well, it's no secret that Steam is kind of...... crap. I suppose it would work better on GOG. I don't know about the procedure with them though.
I bypassed the steam runtime by using a script to launch the game:
#! /bin/sh
unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
exec ./Thaumistry.bin
I've then set that script as the launch command in the steamworks settings.

(I've been told they're friendly and quick to answer questions on Linux stuff)
You also might try posting your issue on the /r/linux_gaming subreddit, I've seen a lot of developers get help fast.
For the record, I'm playing this in Linux via itch.io but I'd be happy to rebuy it on Steam.
Zarf passed that along to me a while back, and we tested it...didn't work, sadly.
