Some ideas.
Since the game is awesome and all, I decided to provide a couple ideas for interesting stuff. Note that these are not suggestions (which means I'd probably rather not see them / do not expect them being implemented since development is already going very well and I'm far from the best judge) but just a bunch of ideas I decided to throw for kicks.

1. A few more prototype bots, for example prototype watchers that jam visual sensors and are yet harder to hit or maybe swarmers with tactical coordination suites.

10. Corruption effects for the ones that get reeeally messed up. I came up with occassionally misinterpreting bots (a serf on screen could turn out to be a sentry; though such situations can often be solved with experience, for example seeing a tunneler camping in the corner of a room and you're corrupted, you know something's up) for high thresholds (probably higher than IFF burst signal or whatever it's called) or perhaps identifying traps when there are none although this could be confusing.

11. Combat programmers after being scanned could gain the ability to actually hack Cogmind with datajacks for links/reboots

100. A "rogue" branch or zone where everyone is going crazy following some sort of malfunction. Possibly connected to waste. Tunnelers are attacking with drills and mining lasers, builders with their welding torches, operators...probably relentlessly ramming Cogmind on sight...maybe it turns out to be too ridiculous.

101: Drones...with light weapons! (Not sure if already present; have never obtained the assault drone bay.)

110: Rare-ish event where a small-scale derelict breach takes place and you have the opportunity to take remote manual control of an unaware leading grunt/other robot in a squad and it's up to you to choose to shoot down the derelicts, opting not to act suspiciously, then luring the squad away from Cogmind's actual location or betraying the unaware and fighting them off (the derelicts kill "you" too as you're unaware but then Cogmind can team up with them later).

111: "Suicidal" special weapon that repurposes utility slots as bombs, destroying a random utility slot to release an AOE shockwave around Cogmind with damage based on destroyed utility's integrity, perhaps taking away a bit of core integrity too in the process. Or, some sort of high-upkeep incendiary ammo converter for kinetic guns which adds a heat transfer effect to them. Some more utilities that consume matter for usage (or even as upkeep!) but offer OK rewards could be good. The possiblities are truly endless with this game.

1000: New hacking update left some sparks in my mind. I thought of an high-level hack that made an operator call in your own personal (AKA assimilated) ARC to carry you (and perhaps any allies that fit) fast enough even if you're on treads, dispatched from either garrisons or stairs; managing to hack a programmer could reward you with the possibility of forcing them to try to reset you, removing a small amount-but far from all-system corruption in the process; finally, identifying and successfully hacking a swarmer could allow a small/medium cost hack to temporarily cause the entire swarm to cease fire, or something more creative, such as negative coordination; targeting penalty to every bot in the swarm, increased for every bot in the swarm. (probably no longer than 5-6 turns).

And that's the end of it for now. Once again, please note that my aim with the post is not to help the game get better. That is to say, I'm no authority for the wellbeing and much less the balancing of the game. Trust me, Kyzrati is delivering already and the game is complete as it is and about as good as it can be...until a new update is released, when it becomes even better. So let's take those with a grain of salt. In other words, this isn't a "hey, these are some suggestions for the game, please consider them" post, it's a "hey, my simple mind decided to make a tribute to this very cool game" post. Which means it doesn't have a lot of meaningful content and is not to be taken seriously. But at least I tried.

Thanks for the post! Always fun to read just unbridled idea threads :) (some of the stuff you mention is already in there, but there are so many things in the game that it can take quite a long time to discover everything :P)

The possiblities are truly endless with this game.
Yes this is a bit of a problem, heh. I could literally work on Cogmind pretty much forever, but I don't think that's possible, financially speaking xD
