Maps Database

Dominion 4 Map Database will stay up for a while as most maps are not ported yet. Maps will be sorted by total province count. I would appreciate for anyone posting a map in the Maps threads to give the information I need below and stick to this format so we have a uniform one. Any suggestions are welcome.

Maps are getting more features, so here is a legend of what the initials stand for:
W - Winterized
WR - Wraparound
WRH - Horizontal wraparound
SC - Scenario
DP - Diciples
"X"AC - "X" Average connections per province
Cave provinces - Are not included in province count, but I try to state how many there are. Cave provinces are included in the Land (for dry caves) and Water (for wet caves) counts.

I'm happy to do that, but you'll need to provide a little bit more organization in the OP. (Filling in the numbers, figuring out how you're going to sort them).

I will. You can check the Dom 4 Maps Database thread for the previous version of how I organised it. I dont have enough information for now to get this one fleshed out but it will be.

I've just noticed that some cave provinces have water in them as well, so how do you think I should break down count? Take out cave altogether? As in there are 10 provinces, 5 land, 5 water, (and 2 cave); which could be land or water so it doesnt matter? opinions?

Hmm, I'd say report wet caves as caves. I think that's been the norm in the past. But as long as it's clear and consistent it should be fine.

The question is more whether I should count caves at all... Usually when people break down Land and Water provinces they lump up dry caves with land and wet caves with water. So if I'm keeping caves as separate (both dry caves and wet caves) they should be taken out of Land and Water counts... and that can get confusing.

While on the other hand it's always nice to know how many caves there are in a map :S

I think noting the existance of caves without their number is fine.

I can also do what was done in past posts. Note how many cave provinces there are but not include them in province could...

One thing that would be very useful to have (but would be a PITA to manually collect) would be average province connections. E.g., a 150-province map with 5 avg connections can comfortably support far fewer players than one with 3.5 or 4 - and a blitz game would be far less happy with the sparser connectivity than a "traditional" game.

I can put it on the wishlist/format for map authors to let me know about it, but I doubt it will come to fruition as most people don't even tell me how many provinces the map has :S
